1975 – 1980 Beginning
Managing Director Teo Hock Chwee single-handedly started “Teo
Contractor”, a modest contracting business
then, which has grown from strength to
strength.

1981-1984 Foundation
The establishment of TTJ Design and Engineering in that year,
demonstrated the company’s committment to
structural steel works and its far-sighted
vision of providing related services in
design consultancy.

1985 – 1989 Transformation
Acquired expertise in precision fabrication, heavy lifting and
launching of beams and girders from MRT
projects. Discovered a niche developed own
design for vehicle parapet railings for
highways. Began fabrication of blast doors.
These specialty doors are built of
very thick heavy steel plates and sections
and specifically designed as effective
shelters against bomb blasts.

1990s Expansion
1990: The opening of a new factory in Johor Malaysia marked an
important development to symbolized the
company’s desire to gradually extend its
services to the region.

1995: TTJ Holdings was incorporated as the primary holding
company for the TTJ group as it continually
strives to provide its clients with high
quality service.

1996: TTJ moved it’s operation into a new multi-purpose factory
at Pioneer Road with unique seafront
access..

1997: TTJ has acquired the ISO 9002 certification for metal
fabrication & erection Services & Management
System. Later, upgraded to ISO 9001/2000
certification, which makes us the first to
have received award in the local
construction and engineering industry in
Singapore.

2000s Expansion
2004: Awarded ISO 14001 and OHSAS 18001
|
2007: TTJ Design And Engineering (UAE) was incorporated in UAE
and Began operations in the Middle East.
|
2008: TTJ acquired second factory in Johor Malaysia with land
area approximately 86,000 square metres.
